The first thought that comes to mind when I see this closet is, “Sex in the City”! This is the closet we all dreamed of after we saw the episode when Mr. Big shows Carrie Bradshaw her new closet; It was shiny, bright, had handbag storage and space for so many shoes! After a quick Google, I’ve discovered this episode aired in 2008? Yikes! 10 years already? Moving on…

All of the cabinetry you see in this closet was custom built in our Edmonton Shop, using high quality pinewood and steel hardware. We utilized every square inch of wall space, from the floor to the ceiling. We gave this client a variety of storage options to suit their needs; hanging space, drawers and shelving.  Along the bottom, we’ve added some drawers behind the kickplates, so when you tap them with your foot, they open up to reveal additional shallow storage – great for storing belts, ties, purses, etc.

At the rear of the closet, this full-length mirror opens, uncovering additional storage. There are hooks for hanging luggage or coats on the door and, when you pull the handle there are two extra cabinets tucked away. This is a great place to store handbags, luggage, or if you’re not as neat and tidy as this person, you can cram these full of stuff and no one will ever see it 😉

Although the cabinetry is beautifully constructed and the space is finished with many little details that make it special, the real show stopper in this closet belongs to that ceiling! This ceiling was constructed using thin strips of wood that were weaved together and then painted. The ceiling is complete with modern lighting and crown mouldings – stunning!
